TESTIMONIALS

Here's what some of my clients say about working with me.

Erica

“Dancing with Jo, I meet Jo in this gorgeous space on Hill Street. White, bright and soft. Jo has invited me for a SAH session.

We start by setting our intentions and then slowly ease into the first set of movements.

Slowly building up with the music. Then back to the breath, the affirmations and checking in.

The next movements are demonstrated by Jo, in-in and out.

I love structure in movement, you can use it as a foundation - as a safety anchor to get back to if you feel overwhelmed or otherwise if you have broken free to come back to.

This is what the practice is about, you breathe in a rhythm, you move with the breath, you fly and soar and keep coming back to your present moment. Your heart space. Together with Jo, who guides you all the way. Her energy will lift you and support you. She will push you to new heights you didn’t know you could reach. With her, you experience the true beauty and essence of life. Dancing freely and experiencing your deepest emotions in a safe and caring setting with the most amazing, loving, and giving teacher. I had to get over a few hurdles here and there, but coming back to my breath each time after an intense moment of movement gave me the confidence to keep going.

I felt blissful and at peace with myself afterwards. It is a true moment of real beauty and authenticity. Shared with this great lady who has changed my life forever. I hope you will let yourself have this experience with Jo. You will always remember it with great joy, and it will take you to new levels, which will enrich your life for the long term.”

Tired of being tired was the tagline that got me hooked into learning more about what Jo's programmes were all about. I enrolled onto the 1:1 12 week coaching course and I can honestly say it is the best thing I have ever done.

Jo's kindness, guidance and support envelopes you into a journey of self discovery and how to feel and be a better you. Her daily check in's, weekly meets and visualisations during the programme have made me re-evaluate a lot of things in life, reset my mindset and well-being and for that I am forever grateful.

Jo is there whenever you need her and her support, encouragement and motivation is exceptional to keep you set on your goals and succeed in what ever challenge your facing.

Jo's intuition into how you are feeling is endearing and she makes you feel safe. Tailoring the programme to your needs and presenting you with challenges to push you out of your comfort zone is what builds an amazing relationship. Her techniques to increase self esteem and get rid of emotions and habits that no longer serve you are a life changer.

Jo also introduced me to the SAH method of moving, breathing, meditation and most importantly affirmations, which I can honestly say is an unbelievably uplifting and empowering experience. It is one of the best methods I have undertaken to becoming a more grounded, more free and spirited self.

Jo is a fantastic, energetic and deeply caring person, on her programmes she will make you stronger and give you the confidence to enable you to be a happier you.

So wherever you are around the world, Jo is your first step to becoming the real person you deserve to be and unlock your magic.

I started my journey with Jo focused on leaving behind the ‘want’ & ‘need’ to occupy my free ‘fun’ time with a drink in my hand. As a task orientated individual who gets a dopamine hit from ticking off goals, I thought “lets aim for 90 days without alcohol and see what happens”! I had no idea what to expect from Jo or indeed myself.

Then BOOM! The penny dropped! Life isn’t about focusing on avoiding something (cup half empty), its about focusing on what brings you joy and filling your cup up! (Stolen from Jo herself).

Jo’s coaching style has navigated me through some tricky parts personally and allowed me to give myself permission to stop, breathe and focus on investing in myself…. Something that most of us on the planet are completely rubbish at.

It may sound corny, but Jo has literally saved my life! There are so many of us who reach a certain age and start reflecting on what’s next and it can be terrifying, but Jo’s warmth, patience and passion for what she does it remarkable. A diamond in the rough, who I now classify as a friend as well as a life coach. Yes I said life coach! I have forgotten the aim of not having a drink (which I haven’t btw) because I am having way too much fun trying to find out what else I can throw myself at in stage 2 of life journey….

If you’re reading these testimonials, then you’re probably considering your relationship with alcohol. Maybe you’re even thinking of working with Jo and going sober. Maybe you have a few doubts - do I really want to give up booze? Is it really that much of a problem? - but you’re here on this page, thinking about it - which says a lot…

I was you once - doing exactly the same thing. And I say take the plunge - go for it!

I’d reached my 46th birthday and had a horrible realisation that I’d been using alcohol as a social crutch for 30 years. Even though it made me miserable and anxious, I couldn’t imagine life without booze. Surely it would be boring. Surely I would be boring.

Then I heard Jo telling her story on a podcast. And she was FUN and interesting and full of joy. Her sober life wasn’t boring - it sounded like a life I wanted. With confidence and energy and really great skin! I knew instinctively that this was the person I needed to help me go sober.

Jo has done that and so much more…

I have recently worked with Jo on her 12 week 1 2 1 coaching program, and I simply cannot speak highly enough about both Jo and the program itself. The program is well structured, and the weekly topics are intuitive giving you the opportunity to reflect upon where you are in life and where you want to be.

Jo is fantastic at helping you help yourself she has boundless energy and enthusiasm both for life and for you as her client, she is empathetic, totally non-judgemental, caring, and warm.

“Thank you so much for coming and doing such an excellent job of raising the benefits and options for a life of sobriety, the risk of an enthusiastic sociable drinking being a ‘booze bully’ and the line not about necessarily encouraging sobriety but being ‘mindful’ in your drinking. I loved the way that you co-presented with Andy and that he provided such lovely drinks, suitable for morning meeting, focusing not on missing out but on having delicious and wholesome alternatives as opposed to necessarily replicating alcohol with a like for like alternative. I am currently doing dry January with no intention of attempting lifelong sobriety, but is has made me rethink that, and to at least be ‘mindful’ and ruling out being thirsty before seeking a refreshing alcoholic drink!

I’ve had emails from staff thanking us for working together to get the conversation going about alcohol and saying that it’s been really useful and well timed. I am definitely a Gimber girl and look forward to receiving my first order of full sized bottles now the shot samples are finished!!

Thank you for being so open in sharing your story, this is where the real power lies.”

“Jo coached me for a number of months during 2022, and I wanted to write a testimonial to recommend her coaching.

The issues that made me unhappy and low at the time the coaching began were concerned with the toxic relationship that had developed between myself and one of my daughters, who has mental health problems, including ADHD. Jo was able to use her own experience of ADHD to help me adjust my behaviour to be more tolerant and to find compromises with my daughter.

I can honestly say that I would no longer…

“What a positive experience working with Jo. I am so thankful that the universe made our paths cross and she made time in her already full schedule to coach me.

I truly had no idea what to expect from a coach, especially around the topic of alcohol, which people natural jump to the conclusion that you have whisky on your cornflakes. To counter the popular belief, a lot of people just have a bad relationship with alcohol, and that can be just feeling horrid after a single night out a week.

Jo has developed an amazing toolset which cover discovery through to sustaining a healthy life for the foreseeable future.

“I met Jo in July and her positive help has enabled me to stop drinking. I cannot say enough how her weekly meetings have been so supportive and enlightening.

I truly think that being sober is the best thing that has happened to me. I feel so much better in myself and I was unaware how alcohol impacted my life. Jo helped me to fix my problem and I no longer think about drinking. I have put into practice what I have learnt from Jo and have become more present and mindful in my daily life.

She is the most incredible person and has taught me so much and she has become a friend too.

I cannot recommend her coaching enough. It was the most fabulous journey.”

“Before I started Sober Jo’s group program, I was in a pretty uncertain and unhappy place for quite some time. I wouldn’t say that I considered myself to be a big drinker, but I knew my relationship with drink wasn’t a healthy one. When I did have a drink, I’d drink too much and couldn’t quite handle it, which created problems…”
