Happy Hour

Most weeks at work we have ‘Happy Hour’, a chance to hangout with colleagues or clients before the weekend, one of the many benefits of working agency side (you get to have fun every so often!) Just because I am doing my challenge doesn’t mean the whole office should stop, I am hoping that I can have fun without the alcohol.

The above photo was taken today BEFORE I tried the alcohol free wine that I am holding. I also encouraged any colleagues who are doing dry January to try it with me.

Tasting notes : contrary to my very happy face in the photo, the wine was absolutely hideous. Like a glass of apple juice but with added E numbers. Left our teeth feeling furry. Bleugh.

I bought this one at Dunells, but in all fairness, the very helpful lady at the till did warn me that it was an acquired taste! She was right * note to self must listen to very helpful wine lady at Dunells * I’m regretting that I purchased the whole range of ‘Vin’ wines too, I haven’t got high hopes for the rest!

I then went to my sister’s house for dinner, where she drank red wine and I drank herbal tea. She even sacrificed cooking with it (I’m not going that far btw- if someone cooks with it I’m not going to count that - but if someone chooses to leave it out, that’s fine too!) After the hideous fake wine experience, I wasn’t even bothered about an alcoholic drink. I might just keep drinking that hideous wine every so often to keep putting me off it 🤮
